Early Childhood
When asked for words to describe our Early Childhood Center our parents respond….
“Loving! Friendly! Warm! Cheerful! Safe! Cozy! Fun! Caring! Nurturing!”
Our “STATE OF THE HEART” learning center is home to toddlers and preschoolers from sixteen months to five years old. Daily routines encourage and support the natural curiosity of young children and their desire to explore the world around them. Our curriculum and methodology is based on best practices in Jewish early childhood education. Teachers provide opportunities for the optimal development of social and academic competencies. We celebrate the accomplishments of our children, families and staff - always cognizant of the blessings of being connected to our extraordinary synagogue community.
Our mission is to create a welcoming learning environment integrating the core values of our rich Jewish tradition. We honor and respect the uniqueness and potential of each child and the diversity of every individual in our early childhood community. Our teachers, parents and administrators collaborate to create relevant, meaningful and enriching experiences, which build a foundation for the lifelong acquisition of knowledge and success.
Part-time and full-time enrollment options as well as extended care are offered to meet the scheduling needs of our families. Pre-kindergarten students are eligible to participate in the “free” Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten program offered by the state of Florida. Our school achieved an outstanding “readiness rate score” of 296 (out of 300) for the initial year of operation (2005/06). We have earned the Broward County Gold Seal of Excellence Award since 1999. School year and summer camp programs are available.
